Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I am a strong writer, however, if you are not... The courses can be very challenging.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The dorms and campus were beautiful.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

In the American College, you are surrounded by Americans. But if you manage to get far out in London, you will feel integrated.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I saw a free clinic with help from the university.

* Safety:

Just watch out for pick pocketers.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I'm not sure I spent wisely. But I did run out of money fast. I brought $2000, which converts to a smaller amount in pounds. For 4 months, it was decent. But should have brought $3000.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $50-75
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Don't spend all your money on drinks just because you are allowed to drink at 18. Don't buy souvenirs until the end, when you have seen everything.
