Our Russian and Ukrainian language department was created especially for those wishing to study these languages in the capital of Ukraine. We have a team of creative professional teachers with long-term experience.
We use the modern communicative approach, which is used at all International House schools worldwide. The emphasis is mostly on training and development of the your communicative skills. In this way you can use your knowledge outside the classroom in real life situations.
Communicative methodology means that teaching is conducted only in the language that you are studying. This approach helps you to start thinking in the language which is the fastest way to learn. Our teachers can present even the most difficult material in an interesting and comprehensive form.
Our teachers do speak English, French and German in case there are any questions that can not be answered at the beginning levels or for emergencies.
PRIVATE CLASSES PROGRAM
• 20 or 15 Private hrs/wk
• 60 min class hour
• 1-1 Students per class
Homestays are the preferred option for most students, and all families are regularly inspected. Students can expect to find clean rooms, that, by Russian standards, are spacious. Rooms are furnished with one bed or sofa bed, wardrobe, desk with light, chair, and a mirror. Bathroom and kitchen are shared with the family. Maximum travel time to the school is 50 minutes, average travel time door to door is 40 minutes.
