Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Classes were rigorous and lesson plans were well developed. At times classes felt very intense, but the intensity helped me understand the subject matter better. It took a while to get used to the lecture and tutorial structure but after a couple tutorials, I got used to the flow of the week.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

On-site administration was very helpful and answers all my questions about class scheduling quickly.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Housing was nice, and I hear they are getting airconditioning this coming Fall semester.

* Food:

Food was good. It was good quality and the staff served large portions. The food options in the surrounding area were nice as well.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Everyone was very friendly. I made life-long friends the day after I landed. This may be rare, but for the most part everyone was friendly to me.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I never had any health problems while there. I did hear from other friends how easy it was to schedule an appointment and get help. The Counseling center was also very helpful to my friends that were there as well.

* Safety:

Singapore is very safe. You can walk around at any time of night and not be scared of anything happening.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Bring USD to Singapore to exchange later or when you want to travel to the surrounding countries.
