National University of Singapore: Singapore - Direct Enrollment & Exchange

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained an appreciation for one of the coolest cities I had ever been to, and I got to understand SIngapore's unique culture. That said, the best part of the program was the travel opportunities it provided, as Singapore is perfectly located as a home base to explore South-East Asia

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The course options were extremely diverse. The courses I took were taught well by professors from around the world

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Everything was made very straightforward for us, from course registration, to undertsnading how the University email systems and library functioned

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The campus is among the nicest I have ever seen. UTown complex as a whole was amazing. Air conditioning would've been nice though given Singapore's weather

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Most of my friends were other exchange students, not the locals. The locals are extremely hard working and mainly focused on academics

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Singapore is one of the safest cities in the world

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Singapore is an extremely expensive city, but if you plan on travelling flights to other parts of SE Asia are very reasonable
