Personal Information

The term and year this program took place: Fall 2009

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Very unorganized

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Helpful but I was often full of questions.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

In campus housing too strict and costly, prefferebly off campus.

* Food:

Delicious food

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

People are very different and seem very hostile do not feel bad. The economic crisis is palpable very sad.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Felt that there was a lot of security issues and felt like I had to be watching my back all the time.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Have a little extra you never know

Language

Language acquisition improvement?

Everything was in English no Spanish teaching, even if the course was in Spanish the textbook was in English.

A Look Back
