I mostly gained experience in traveling abroad, ie. foreign currency, culture.

Class was very intellectual and made you think in different ways.

Professors were very laid back, and knew a lot about the city and everything to do.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I felt like I was living in a resort.

* Food:

We always went to the best restaurants with great food. Even if I didn't know what to order, the professors had great suggestions.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

You get to experience and interact with a lot of the culture in Merida.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I didn't have any health care issues.

* Safety:

I felt safe at all times.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

This was a great trip and I loved every second of it.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Very minimal costs while in Merida.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? You spend most of your money in Cancun, bring a debit card with you just in case you run out.

The Networker
An active student leader, it was important for you to network abroad as well. Once overseas, you sought out student clubs, volunteered with local organizations, or attended community events. You encouraged your friends join you, and often considered how you could reflect your international experiences in a resume.
