Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The overall educational experience was pretty good. I took courses from four different departments, namely finance, economics, statistics and geography. I enjoyed the diversity of my course selection and explored LSE academic life from multiple perspectives. I think most of courses emphasis on both theory and empirical evidence. Furthermore, the library provides a lot of additional information about courses and easy to access. The only thing that I do not like is that the final grade is 100% based on the final exam for some courses.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The GC Dean is super friendly. He gave me many useful tips regarding course choices and university social activities. There is weekly email regarding school events and updates.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived in Northumberland House. The location is perfect but the room is pretty small.

* Food:

The cafeteria is not very good but there are abundant restaurants nearby.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The people are nice but I do not like the drinking cultural here.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I did not have any experience about health care at London. But I heard that it is good.

* Safety:

The police force is responsibility. However, there were several severe attacks in the past few months.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

This program gives me an opportunity to explore the United Kingdom and study at an an decent university. The academic achievement and travel experience are valuable to me.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? about 150 pounds per week
