Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

All grades based on papers and presentations. All classes are 3-7 people in a very intimate environment with the professors (all of whom were were some of the most intelligent/best teachers I've ever had). I took 5 classes and we had a one hour session of each once a week, or a two hour session every other week.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Very easily accessible and eager to help with any problems anyone was having. Expectations beyond exceeded.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Lived in an apartment with 8 other students, very centrally located and easy to get around the city (very very close to 3 different tube stations)

* Food:

all possible food available.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Dinner at the beginning and end of the semester with students and all of our teachers.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

safest city ive ever been in

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $3,000
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Cook your own food if possible

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • Everything
* What could be improved?
  • Organization beforehand
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? An independent and motivated student. Other than class time, you are completely on your own to fill your time adequately and make the most of your experience. They do not plan trips for you/take you around the city at all. I ended up preferring this, however, some may not.
