What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Yes - I feel like I saw the entire world! It also made me much more independent, and I feel like I can plan anything and make it happen. It made me appreciate the things and people I missed in the US, and it showed me how many amazing places and people there are in the world.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Registering for classes was terrible and should have been done beforehand. After that, it was all great.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They really took care of us and got to know us, but they should have let us register for classes before we got there.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I had an American roommate, and 16 other flatmates from all different countries. I lived at 50B Hillhead.

My flatmates were great!

* Food:

I had to make my own meals.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

everyone was so much fun! The international society was awesome and put on a ton of events!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I had to travel with friends, but as long as I wasn't alone I felt safe.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? be careful with Ryanair - they charge you if you forget to check in online, or if you check baggage
