Edinburgh is an beautiful city unlike any others. It's just enjoyable to live in the city and study there.

I would choose to go in the fall, because the winter in Edinburgh is way to long and it rains to much, which makes it feels even colder.

Finances

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

about same level as in Brandeis

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? with student visitor visa, you cannot open a local bank account, so the best way is to withdraw the amount you want each month and spend it with plan.
