Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The workload was not heavy, as long as your field journal was filled out daily. This, participation, and field work comprised most of the final grade

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Incredibly knowledgeable directors and supervisor; a small, intimate group of students and staff; great on-site experience; amazing food!

* Housing:

It was arranged for everyone to live on the same kibbutz.

* Food:

We had several meals a day (there was a lot of physical work!) and they were all delicious!

We were able to go visit major cities on our days off and see cultural sites

* Health Care:

* Safety:

Hydration was always encouraged, sick students were brought to nearby medical facilities if it was needed, safety first!

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Individual Course Reviews

Course Name/Rating:

Field Methods in Archaeology

Course Department: Archaeology
Instructor: Eric Cline and Asaf Yasur-Landau
Instruction Language: English
Comments: We had daily on-site archaeological experience at Tel Kabri, along side lectures back at the kibutz several times a week. I found both of these to be very informative about both archaeology and the site itself.
Credit Transfer Issues: Remember to apply for credit before you go abroad!
