What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I really loved going abroad because I went on my own and I was able to become more involved with other people and immerse myself in the culture. I was also able to meet other awesome people from other parts of the US that I have kept in touch with after I came back.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Start saving money since way before so you're able to spend as much as you want traveling and vice-versa.

  • tell students to prepare more money
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? they don't wear as much black as they tell you during orientation so take your own clothes... oh, and take clothes for EVERY type of weather.

The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
