What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned how to be comfortable with myself, in new environments and with new people. I explored new places and realized what I really enjoy. It was definitely worthwhile.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Courses weren't as difficult, but at times, the work would pile up to feel a little intense. Overall, instructors were all passionate and unique in their approach

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

At the beginning it felt isolating --- I got adjusted to the commute and got adjusted to my homestay, but it wasn't my favorite

felt very safe going on my commute even at night, possibly due to it being a suburb

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I really liked the structure of the program, with interesting classes and study tours.

Finances

my homestay helped cover a lot of the meal costs

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Don't eat out too often --- or be conscious of the costs

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I knew to really budget my money as Copenhagen is an expensive city. I also wish I knew that it can be an isolating experience at times as a person of color.
