DIS Copenhagen: Semester

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was definitely worthwhile and an experience that I will never be able to have again. I felt a great combination of comfort and support from the program, but also able to be challenged on my own in a new country.

I thought that DIS's program was very well run. The thing I liked most about the program that separated it from others were the study tours. They were well organized and it was a great way to bond with your class. Additionally, the break while others went on their study tours allowed for longer travels which was nice and something I hadn't heard of in other programs. I felt like I was able to really get to know Copenhagen because of its smaller size, but also had the time to travel and see other places without feeling like I was missing out in Copenhagen.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Copenhagen is a very expensive place to live, which can make it difficult to stay on a student budget.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • Study Tours
  • Small, accessible city
* What could be improved?
  • I wish that were more events from the program
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I had done the program with somebody else that I knew because it was nice to meet new people, but there were times where I thought it would be nice to have a friend there who I knew and could do things with. There were many people who came with friends or groups of friends, which made it harder to meet people at first.
