My semester abroad was a test of my ability, could I travel on my own, navigate a new situation? In my successes, I felt emboldened and experienced growth in my self-confidence.

My original home stay was terrible, the hosts were rarely present and provided no support, once I got rehoused it was a far superior experience

For a neuroscience major, DIS offered actually applicable courses and also offered courses that fit with my interest in public health in a way that was not accessible at my home university.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? probably 50-75 dollars

I lived in a home stay with young children so I had greater exposure to the language
