What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Yes it was. The education was not worth while in the classroom, but the life experiences were. I had a great time at the school and with all of the international people that I met. The UH Manoa business counselors are not very informed on anything so you have to go and figure out things for yourself. I had to track down people and get any questions answered that I had that had gone on the trip before.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 1 month - 6 months

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Workload was not bad at all. However, the entire grade for the semester was just based off of a final exam. This could be too much pressure for some people.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Everything seemed to be in order. I had no complaints at all about antyhing while at the program.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I stayed on campus at Porceleshlaven. This was a great place to stay. You have a private room with full kitchen. You share a bathroom, and you have only one suite-mate. These dorms were close to a huge park, shops, the metro, and classrooms. Stay here if at all possible.

* Food:

Not very many options over the summer. Go and buy groceries. The food is incredibly expensive.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Drinking, Clubbing, Travel. Repeat

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Very safe and friendly city. I loved my experience.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Save up your money. Go and explore the city and the surrounding countries. Do not be lame and sit around. If you wanted to do that then why did you study abroad in the first place?
