Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Intensive Arabic language courses made me learn a lot about Arabic in only 6 weeks! Lots of homework but worth doing it.

I was so lucky that I got to stay with an awesome host family!

Must try Mansef at least once!

* Safety:

West Amman is generally safer than east Amman. People stare at you a lot, even though you dress properly. Be very careful when you walk across the road.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Things are not so expensive in Amman.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Sometimes you can wear tight jeans and sleeveless shirts (for girls). They are not dressed as conservative as I thought.
