What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
yes! It was the best experience of my college, of my life! As a Vietnamese American, it allowed me to learn a part of who i am and where I am from. It helped me to be more independent and gave me the confident in adjusting to a different place.

Strengths - She was knowledgeable about the country, she was fluent in the language, she was extremely helpful in helping us adjust being abroad and how to get the most out of our experience in Vietnam.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

We lived in a guesthouse...Safe with friendly staff!

* Food:

GREAT FOOD! i miss it now that i am back home.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The events that were arranged by the program were so incredible! i felt that it really helped me to immerse in the culture and to see everything about Vietnam. I just loved everything about it! My most memorable experience was getting to live with a guest family in the Mekong Delta where we stayed along the water canals.

I was overall pretty safe but i didn't always feel that I was safe.

I'm Vietnamese so i understood Vietnamese but my writing and speaking skills were not that great. I practiced with my roommate, the locals, and family members I met in Vietnam. I spoke english to my American classmates and sometimes roommate.
