Cal Poly San Luis Obispo: London - London Study Summer Program

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
This experience has opened my eyes to how other places work. How people get around, what they feel is important. It has been very interesting to see how others react to situations. Getting use to things that are different then back home was hard but a good lesson.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

slightly more coordination would have been great. maybe a calendar with everyones input in it. but overall i really enjoyed my time.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I would have really liked if the furniture wasn't all broken and if there was a functioning shower drain. Great location of the flat, Kensington is an amazing area to stay.

* Food:

Nandos is great, Waitrose is nicer than sainsburry but more expensive. The amount of food is different then back home which took some getting use to.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

London is amazing. Don't try to do all the museums at once, spread them out. British Museum is huge, don't go expecting to spend only and hour. Theatre is one of my favorite aspects of this city.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Please refill hand santizer in the flat. maybe a list of doctors we could go to and where they are.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)
