What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned so much from my experience abroad. I got practical experience in my area while taking thought provoking classes from knowledgeable professors. I made many new friends that I hope to keep in touch with, and it was extremely worthwhile.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The courses were very interesting, but not overly challenging. I learned a lot in the courses!

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Housing was great! The Crofton building was extremely social and comfortable, and I always felt safe. I loved the location and the people I was living with.

* Food:

We had to buy our own food - not provided.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

We went out a lot in London, so we got a feel for the local culture, but didn't necessarily integrate.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Had no experience with anything health care related.

* Safety:

Felt very safe at all times in London, especially in the beautiful South Kensington neighborhood.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

London is a pretty expensive city. I was able to live pretty cheaply, but with travel and going out on nights/weekends, it can get very expensive very quickly.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Probably somewhere around $75
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? I didn't go out most nights, which helped me to save for the things I wanted to do.
