Boston University: London - London Internship Program

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
If I had to do it all over again I would do it in just the same way. The BU London Internship Program has allowed me to experience things that I never would have had the opportunity to do in the US. The experiences that I had in London have helped me to better focus my future plans and understand what is important to me in my future academic pursuits.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 1 month - 6 months

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The program administrators were so helpful with whatever I needed. They made me feel at ease at a time when I could have been worried about my new surroundings.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived in Kensington London in the Crofton--an old hotel that was converted into bedrooms with shared kitchens and living spaces.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? I spent more on traveling then I would have thought. Also, living in the part of London that I was in was very expensive and I spent a lot of money on food without even trying to eat that well.
