| Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? | make local friends and ask speak to them in the native language. talking with people in your age range is the best way to learn how people actually speak the language, which slang is normal, what phrases are most common. Once I made friends with young greeks I learned quickly that what the phrase books teach you is the most formal and polite way of saying things not the way people normally say them |
