What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
A stronger perspective on Middle Eastern issues and the cultural variances within the region, that will be helpful in future academic and job endeavours. I also was able to have a greater understanding of the countless different world lenses that are used in both academia and professional work settings, by interacting with international students coming to AUS from across the Middle East and beyond.

  • The multicultural environment and opportunities to interact with local students
  • A strong and supportive team at the exchange office that were always present when students were in need of advising or any kind of help.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Having an open mind and attitude towards different cultures and environments allows one to thoroughly gain from and enjoy a study abroad experience.
