Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? None

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Studying abroad was easily the best decision I could have made during college.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Anderson, the Resident Director makes the rainy days a little brighter and is always there when you need a good laugh.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Atlantic House is an old building so the rooms are not the greatest but you can't go wrong living in the best part of London!

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I got really sick during the first couple weeks and the AIFS Staff made it really easy and quick to see a doctor and get some antibiotics.

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Living in London was definitely a lot more expensive than I thought it would be. If you want to be able to splurge on meals and gifts, it is a good idea to save a lot of money.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Buy some groceries and snacks from Tesco to save yourself from always going out to get food.
