"I learned a lot of Spanish, and also a lot about myself. It was definitely worthwhile, even when it was difficult I was still learning a lot."

"I learned how to live on my own in a city, and work with a budget. I became more self-sufficient, and learned to balance my work and commute. It was absolutely worthwhile."

"My favourite part about studying abroad were the different perspectives I got access to. I was able to speak with many Russians, and see how they live their lives and what they think about the world--I think it has made me a more open person!"
Sydney Hopper Wellesley College
"Attending the University of Cambridge as a study abroad student was an extremely fulfilling experience. I was able to take courses that I would not otherwise have been able to at Wellesley College due to the difference in size of both institutions. "

"You really learn how to fend for yourself. Wellesley is so wonderfully helpful and kind to its students, while SOAS really is not. I had a great time meeting new friends, learning London and traveling Europe. In general, it was a terrific experience. "
A student Wellesley College
"I learned a lot about my self and I also became extremely independent. I loved London and hope to live there if the future will allow it. It was definitely a worthwhile experience, and although I missed Wellesley dearly, I would strongly encourage everyone to study abroad for at least once semester. "

"This experience was so worthwhile. It was a nice break from the rigor and competitiveness of Wellesley. I was quite literally never stressed out and I got a new perspective on Wells making it easier to come back and finish my senior year. "

"My study abroad experience was definitely worthwhile! DIS was a well rounded program incorporating travel, culture, and hands on experience both in and outside of the classroom. I learned to get out of my comfort zone and to challenge "
Joanna G Wellesley College
"I got the opportunity to have a fun and what I am describing as a pseudo-independent experience. I say that because while I did live with a host family and had professors and staff who were invested in my well-being, comfort, and happiness, I also had the opportunity to explore an entirely new country mostly alone. I was able to..."

"My experience was definitely worthwhile. I found it interesting to see how economics is studied differently at Cambridge than at Wellesley, and I learned a lot. Cambridge is an amazing place."

"Budapest is so liveable and interesting, and I learned so much about Hungary - the history, culture, politics. Hungary is rarely discussed in world politics and its history is little known (to Americans anyway), which is too bad since it's so checkered and absolutely fascinating, particularly its role in the Soviet bloc. It's al..."

"My independent learning/research skills improved with practices, and I traveled to many European countries and British cities when I had chances. I was not stressed with exams, and I had greater freedom with time that even I picked up playing piano again. "

"The experience was definitely worthwhile. I learned how to be more independent academically and to navigate situations I'll likely encounter in graduate school. "
A student Wellesley College
"My Spanish did improve, which was the only goal I had for going abroad. Therefore, I would say that it was worthwhile"
Sara D Wellesley College
"I gained so much from my experience doing SEA Semester and it was very worthwhile! I was really pushed out of my comfort zone and gained a lot of confidence through this experience. I knew very little about oceans and nothing about sailing before SEA Semester and I gained a real interest and appreciation of the sea and sailing. ..."

"As I previously mentioned, I made some wonderful new friends abroad and had amazing experiences travelling Australia. Melbourne is also a great city filled with delicious food, interesting artwork, and vibrant culture. Participating in the study abroad program at University of Melbourne is absolutely worthwhile. "

Joyce C Wellesley College
"My experience abroad was definitely worthwhile. Living in a foreign country was absolutely wonderful for learning about a new culture first-hand.
