"I certainly learned a lot about Classics and the world of Classical academia, and if the experience taught me anything, it's that I'm not sure I want to pursue the field any further."
Amita M Wellesley College
"I had a great time traveling with friends and learning how to be independent"

"I was able to travel around Europe. Meet new friends. Understand cross-cultural relationships. Eat some good food. "
A student Wellesley College
"It was interesting to experience and learn about the unique Hong Kong culture. But I felt like I was wasting my time in classes because they were nothing compared to the college courses in the US"
A student Wellesley College
"For people with no experience with Japan, it's a pretty good program since it forces you to be an active part of Japanese society. However, some academic portions of the program were not very fulfilling, and the administration of these courses was sometimes frustrating (class requirements were not clear, syllabus was not provide..."

"The clinical portion of this program was great. Other than that, I think there's a huge need for improvement from both sides (wellesley and jacobs) in informing students of what will be provided and what won't be. There is serious improvement needed on Jacobs' side in terms of supporting their international students that I did n..."

"I am glad I studied abroad, but I wish I had picked a program that better suited my needs."
Molly E Wellesley College
"It was overall an eye opening experience for someone who has never studied in this continent, and it helped me to understand the world better as a whole. Did I like it? No. But am I glad I got this experience? Yes. "
A student Wellesley College
"It was helpful for me to live abroad for a time so that I can have an awareness of cultural and continental differences. I felt it was important to study abroad so that my education would be well-rounded."
Jessica S Wellesley College
"I learned to appreciate my home school and the organization it has. This school had a terrible registration process for classes. My classes took weeks to be finalized and I frequently had to see the administration in person. At the end of the semester the administration lost my final (and only) exam but I was lucky enough that I..."
A student Wellesley College
"I don't feel I learned much about myself. I think most people who say that are lying. After you adjust, you feel like you're just living normal life. It's hard to feel comfortable when the locals remind you how much of a Yankee you are."
A student Wellesley College
"I became more independent"
A student Wellesley College
"It was worthwhile but I wish I had gone to a different program."
Molly S Wellesley College
"I learned a lot about French literature and authors that I enjoy reading. This experience was worthwhile but I did not get as much appreciation for the French culture out of it as I had expected."
A student Wellesley College
"I got to travel more than I expected and I have a fabulous internship, but honestly I feel like it was a waste of time. The quality of education here is no where near what it is at Wellesley and the fact that the program goes into June is ridiculous and cuts out a fair portion of summer internship opportunities. "
Grady B Wellesley College
"I did learn a lot about British culture during this program. And having Oxford on your resume certainly doesn't hurt. I'm glad I went just to have had the experience of studying in a different country, even though I didn't love it. "
A student Wellesley College
"it was worthwhile that i got to experience different cultures while traveling in other european countries. "
A student Wellesley College
"Yeah"
Jillian M Wellesley College
"It was worthwhile in a sense and not so much in others. I wish I had more support but I think the lack of it was a silver lining because it allowed a lot of time for myself and I really got to know my strengths and capabilities and forced me to confront myself in hard situations. "
Nisrine A Wellesley College
"I learned how to take care of myself."
Corrinne Yoder-Mulkey Wellesley College
"I learned a lot about French language and culture and how to live on my own in a foreign environment. I recommend going abroad in general--it opens your world up entirely."
A student Wellesley College
"Life is more interesting. Memories are good to make, and should be prioritized in the US, even when its not as glamorous as traveling to a new country per weekend"
A student Wellesley College
"I was able to see that I might not want to use Spanish later on in a career. I was able to travel in Europe."
Jamie7 Wellesley College
"I really enjoyed my time traveling and I learned about the world around me."
A student Wellesley College
"It was somewhat worthwhile- I learned a lot about myself and pushed my comfort zone. If I could do it again, I would choose to go abroad with a small program or for a shorter period (perhaps summer or winter session)."
