Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I enjoyed most of the classes I took. My italian class was very difficult at times and not enough help was provided. I also felt that in most classes I did not necessarily need to think for myself.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

We had a problem with our wireless internet in our apartment and it was difficult to get them to finally come and fix it. They were there during the day for the most part if we needed help.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

we lived on Viale Brianza, near Piazza Loreto and Stazione Centrale. It was a rather large apartment but an old one with old and semi-broken furniture.

it was an older apartment and our furniture was falling apart.

* Food:

you cant really go wrong with food in italy

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

i had a great time being abroad despite how frustrated the classes and some aspects of the program made me

* Safety:

i never had to go to the doctor while abroad.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? Beginner
Language acquisition improvement?

I lived with Americans so we spoke English at home. Our italian roommate was barely there and most places we went to in the city and in Italy would speak english to us when we spoke Italian.
