"I did learn some cultural differences through my host family. My French level did improve a little but not as drastically as I had hoped."

"Friends, culture, knowledge of history "

"A new cultural outlook and integrating into a community that is hard to integrate into. I appreciated how my classes took me beyond the classroom to have hands-on application of content material."

"Despite having problems with the over involvement of the program administrator, I did enjoy my abroad experience. I love Budapest, and how it is centrally located so that you can travel to other countries very easily. I traveled nearly every weekend, but also enjoyed exploring Budapest."
Hollis Rammer Wellesley College
"Because I've gotten such a strong education at Wellesley, I knew that I wanted my abroad experience to have a solid academic component. Ultimately, the tutorial system wasn't the best for my subject, and I didn't learn as much as I'd hoped, but the rest of the experience more than made up for it. Oxford (the university and town)..."

"I stepped out of my comfort zone every time I went to a new activity or decided to spend time exploring the city. I didn't notice at first, but my Spanish listening and speaking skills have improved and I can understand/speak the unique Chilean jargon. I would say that this is one of the outcomes that I am most proud of. "

"Not only did I learn academically from my classes and excursions, but also experienced a lot of personal growth that I did not ever picture myself having. I left my semester abroad with new friends, family, and experiences that I will never forget. I am truly not the same person I was when I left in February."
A student Wellesley College
"While abroad I feel like I really got to know myself (cliche, I am aware), and I think that Cambridge's academic system is so individual that it really required me to leave my comfort zone and really get comfortable with the material and my thoughts on it. Because I joined a sports team, I got to see parts of the country I would..."
