"I can write essays more efficiently and am better at organising my own work time. I know more about the ways I learn best, and how far I can (and can't push myself). It was a difficult year in many ways, but ultimately a very rewarding one. "

"I learned about foreign languages/cultures/customs, as well as learned a lot about myself. It was certainly worthwhile."
Gillian D B Wellesley College
"Yes, it was very worthwhile. I gained a better understanding of myself and how to live on my own, and how to adjust to new places. I hope to move back to London someday, and I now feel well-equipped to do so because I know the city pretty well. In studying abroad, I wanted to test myself to live in a foreign country for a year, ..."

"I learned the most from Spanish friends. The PRESCHO group hung out too much with themselves and not really branching out. The PRESCHO office in Cordoba was amazing--Eva, Encari, Maribel, Martha. I would like to go back to Cordoba sometime. I'm so glad there was the orientation trip, but I wished that was later in the program be..."
Zara I Wellesley College
"I learned a lot about other cultures and how things are different around the world. I also got to travel Europe and conduct my own neuroscience research. "
A student Wellesley College
"Yes. French culture taught me to enjoy life instead of just tolerating or surviving it, to see it as an art instead of a task to complete. "
Yakun X Wellesley College
"Yes, i gained a lot from this experience. I learned a lot about myself, the culture there and people. It was wonderful to be in another country."
catherine p Wellesley College
"I think that my study abroad experience was definitely worthwhile! I learned to love a culture and country that I did not know much about prior to studying there. I think that it helped impact my cultural awareness, and helped broaden my already established interest in Europe's history and politics. This experience guaranteed th..."
Nia P Wellesley College
"I learned how to navigate a new place on my own. I also learned how to be more independent and plan travels to places I had never been. The experience was definitely worthwhile. "
Gabriella Vesey Wellesley College
"It was definitely worthwhile! I appreciated the diversity of both London and LSE as it was a stark contrast from Wellesley (both the town and the university)"
Ilina Mitra Wellesley College
"I really enjoyed my stay in Hungary. While I probably will not continue on in math, I gained a lot of valuable mathematical insights from the classes. More importantly, I developed a fondness for travel in Europe and, as an almost direct result, am applying for graduate schools in Europe to continue my education and travels ther..."
Rebecca G Wellesley College
"I learned a lot about myself by being abroad. Though I'd been to Europe before, living here was a different experience. I got to live independently, fend for myself, and make friends from many different places. Traveling was definitely a highlight and I got to go to Sweden, Russia, Czech Republic, Scotland, Austria, Hungary, and..."
Kelly C Wellesley College
"I gained so much from this program, and most of that derived from the fact that the visiting students were very separated from the undergrads. I would usually describe myself as an ambivert with the heart of an extrovert, but the head of an introvert. It's very hard for me to be self-motivated to meet people and, initially when ..."

"The most worthwhile thing for me was the experience of living on my own in a city, in a flat rather than a dorm. That was a valuable lesson in independence, and I definitely think it was worthwhile. I also appreciated this program because it was so different from my home college. It was good to experience a different kind of uni..."

"I gained a sense of perspective about my home institution, both in terms of it's relative size, and relative rigor. I learned about Irish politics and concerns among Irish university students, about social movements happening in Ireland right now, and what Guiness should actually taste like. I gained a better sense of myself and..."

"A focused experience that provides ample opportunities for professional development. Gained keener insights into the global landscape of international organizations and diplomacy."
A student Wellesley College
"I think a clarity and confidence about myself and my goals as well as a firmer perspective on the many different women of color navigate social spaces both here and abroad. "
A student Wellesley College
"Independence, international exposure, city living."
Amanda F Wellesley College
"Yes it was. London was a great city to be in. I really liked that I was just a short walk away from the center of the city. I was able to see all of London and I traveled around England and Europe. "
Sonja S Wellesley College
"It has changed my world-view of global politics and American involvement drastically. I was also there during the elections, so that was fascinating to see! "
Claire A Wellesley College
"I learned about what kind of city makes me happy. What factors are important to me in terms of quality of life (eg. fresh farmer's market versus good shopping nearby). The importance of public transport. I also learned what kind of student I am on a "global" level. It was interesting to have the comparison with French studen..."
