In this directory you will see information from these organizations, which may help you fund your dream of study abroad.

University of Nicosia - Global Semesters

2 scholarships available across 70 programs

This award is for semester students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above. Students must mail their official transcript to Global Learning Semesters for verification. This award can only be combined with our Early Deposit Discount.

Global Learning Semesters awards the Takis Chrysanthou Honored Scholar Award to one student each semester. The student must be attending a semester-long program that is home-based in Cyprus. The award winner is selected based on academic merit, expected contribution to the group experience, and financial need. This award is a $2,500 discount that is credited against program fees.

International Studies Abroad / ISA

4 scholarships available across 67 programs

ISA offers USD 8,000 worth of scholarships annually dedicated to the memory of Michaela Farnum. Michaela was a junior studying International Business and Spanish at Seattle University and was a participant in the ISA program in Chile. Her experience was tragically cut short when she lost her life in a hiking accident in the mountains of La Campana National Park in Chile. ISA hopes that this scholarship will help aspiring study abroad students and will do so in memory of Michaela who only began to realize her dream of study abroad. The scholarship is both merit and financial need-based scholarships for the study abroad expenses for the summer term of the student awardees

8 x $1,000 for Summer Programs

The ISA Diversity Scholarships aim to encourage students of a broader cultural make-up to participate in ISA programs by offering funds to assist with the expenses of studying abroad. The scholarship amounts to USD 14,000 in awards and is to be used towards ISA programs.

ISA is offering 2 USD 1000 scholarships starting in 2016 to students who embody idea of the phrase “Live Like Ally”. Allison Willen, a Junior at Eckerd College whose life tragically ended during a hiking trip in Mt. Aspiring National Park on ISA’s semester study abroad program in New Zealand. Ally had a contagious love for life, nature, community service, and adventure. Ally was a passionate volunteer in her community, always doing what she could to make the world a better place. Students who believe they Live Like Ally and also share similar interests such as a passion for volunteering, a love for nature and hiking, and zest for life are encouraged to apply.

In pursuit of its goals of enhancing cultural awareness and providing students with the independence and language skills necessary for the workplace, The Dr. Carlos E. Castañeda Memorial Scholarship seek to help those who may not otherwise be able to study abroad. As a testament to his early struggle and lifelong pursuit of academic excellence, ISA offers USD 58,000 annually in scholarships to be used towards ISA programs in memory of Dr. Castañeda. The Dr. Carlos E. Castañeda Memorial Scholarship are both merit and financial need-based scholarships that assist students from affiliated universities with the expenses of studying abroad. Scholarship awardees will have the opportunity to participate in the Correspondent Internship, which gives students the chance to add content to ISA’s Student blog. The student may also be given an opportunity to be part of ISA’s offices abroad based on the need of the particular office.

SIT Study Abroad

SIT Study Abroad is committed to increasing access to international education and to ensuring you have the information you need to successfully access funding for your study abroad program with us. SIT has awarded an average of over $1.3 million in scholarships and grants to SIT Study Abroad students in the past three years. We encourage all qualified students to apply for our need-based scholarships. SIT scholarships are not available for online courses or virtual internships. Your scholarship application is created when you select your interest in SIT need-based scholarships when asked in the drop-down section of your SIT Study Abroad program application. The Education Abroad Network (TEAN)

The Education Abroad Network Full Ride Scholarship is designed to give a stand-out student the opportunity to study abroad. Studying abroad is a personal journey and the winning applicant will show us not only the journey they’ve been on to arrive at this point, but also the journey they envision studying abroad will entail. This annual scholarship can be used for TEAN program and covers tuition, program fees and orientation orientation (up to $15,000 value).

AIFS is a leading provider of study abroad programs, with a wide range of unique opportunities in Asia, Australia, Europe, South Africa and the Americas. Most AIFS campuses offer courses in English or in foreign languages from beginner to advanced levels, so you can have the study abroad experience that best suits you. The program fee is all-inclusive, making it simple for you to live, study abroad, and experience all that the world has to offer. Each year, more than $800,000 in scholarships and grants is awarded to deserving students & institutions. Funds are available for both summer and semester programs.
