Eastern European Study Abroad - EESA is a program provider offering 3 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Volunteer, Intensive Language, and High School abroad programs in 2 countries such as Ukraine and Multi-Region.

We offer a wide range of scholarships and our advisors take individual approach with every participant. No matter what your background is, you will find a program that fits you with EESA!

EESA's European headquarters are in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and we offer programs throughout Eastern, Central and Western Europe. We offer programs in English and intensive language programs for perfecting Russian, Ukrainian, German or French languages.

1. Summer travel program. Europe: East to West. 4 weeks, no lang prerequisite, 8 credits. Paris-Rome-Warsaw-Karkow-Brussels-Prague-Berlin.
2. Semester and year: EESA-Ukraine program. Located in Kharkiv, Ukraine with field trips to Poland (Krakow, Auschwitz), Hungary (Budapest), Czech Republic (Prague), Ukraine (Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv) and Austria (Vienna). Classes in English or language study-Russian, Ukrainian.
3. Online Language Program: Russian, Ukrainian. Learn the language through live video conferences with an experienced professor from Karazin Kharkiv National University and earn transferable credits.
4. Short-term: Spring break and Fall break. Join EESA's semester and academic year students for a non-credit one or two week long field trip through 6 cities and 5 countries in Eastern and Central Europe! You will make new friends and visit Ukraine (Kyiv, Lviv), Poland (Krakow), Czech Republic (Prague), Austria (Vienna) and Hungary (Budapest). Individualized programs are available for earning college credits.

Guidelines/Requirements:
Minimum GPA: 2.50 Scholarship Question: Evaluate your budget for studying abroad. Please provide specific amounts of how much education costs for you now, your anticipated financial aid award, any scholarships or other sources of financing you plan to use, your savings for study abroad and your total financial need. Describe why you want to study with EESA. Describe your goals and expectations and how completing a study abroad program will influence them.

Students may apply for the EESA Correspondent Grant to receive $100 in addition to any awarded EESA scholarship. Recipients will be required to maintain an online blog with EESA about their experience abroad and contribute to it at least once every two weeks.

Scholarship Question: Describe why you chose to study abroad for a full year versus a semester and how this experience will benefit you. Outline your achievement and goals and what led up to your decision to study abroad with EESA. Evaluate your study abroad budget, being as specific with numbers as possible: how much education costs for you now, your sources of financing, anticipated financial aid award etc.
