About

Firsthand investigations of Argentina's diverse ecosystems and the Patagonian Andes.  Detailed field activities on climate and geography as well as the plant communities and wildlife.  Highlights include Reserva Faunística on the Argentine coast, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and purportedly one of South America's finest wildlife reserves, where we will focus our observations on the diverse and numerous marine mammals and birds present in the region, including penguins, dolphins, whales, sea lions and elephant seals. We then traverse the grassland steppe to examine firsthand Argentina's unique National and Regional Parks. Finally, we cross the border into Chile to the Lakes region, known for its extensive rainforest, remote valleys and peaks, and fjords.
