About

(Not offered in summer 2016.)  First, for academic reasons: You will be studying the economic development and political transformation of Latin America, one of the most dynamic regions in the world, being there, seeing history with your own eyes. In addition to reading books and articles, you would be meeting business leaders and workers, politicians and human rights activists, visiting farms and factories, political parties and courthouses.

Secondly, for the personal experience: You will live for several weeks in Buenos Aires, a large city of three million, full of European and Latin American immigrants and their descendants, with about 20 universities and colleges and hundreds of thousands of students, a very active music and theater scene, a vibrant youth culture, and cafes in every block.
