About

This is the world’s first 15 unit surf themed mobile study abroad program through Central America. Students will travel overland to coastal destinations learning how to conduct field research and to examine comparative tourism, socio-political, and energy/environmental topics. Students will begin this program with a 2 week intensive Spanish program in Bocas Del Toro, Panama tailored to their individual ability before diving into their course schedule. Students will be immersed in remote coastal communities while they learn about each countries cultural differences, histories and challenges. In each area visited, in order to enhance our connectivity with communities and environments, students will participate in service projects (educating local youth, recycling, and reforestation, etc) and adventure sports activities (Surfing, hiking, Stand-up paddle boarding, etc). The only real question is – Why wouldn’t you do this?
