About

Step behind the scenes of the fashion industry and learn to design, critique and create your own ready-to-wear clothing line in the global centers of style and innovation, New York and Milan. With your New York Times style and fashion expert, group leaders and peers, study international trends and fashion history, meet with haute couture designers, and develop a critical understanding of fashion and the ways it shapes and is shaped by identity and culture.

In New York City, immerse yourself in the history and contemporary world of fashion, then continue on to Italy’s fashion capital of Milan to gain an international perspective. Bring what you’ve learned back to New York with you. Learn the choreography of a runway show from models, and examine fashion as both art and clothing.

Throughout your journey, learn what it takes to design, create, produce and market your own line. With hands-on workshops in design and draping, and inspiration from fashion’s biggest influencers, discover what it takes for your unique vision to become a reality and turn one of your designs into a ready-to-wear piece.
