What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I think I got a lot independence and self confidence knowing that I was thousands of miles away and I had to independent and outgoing. It was more than worthwhile, I would do it all over again in a heart beat.

TEAN was a great program, from the orientation in Sydney to helping apply for my VISA, they were great!

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Most TEAN students lived in really nice apartments but at UOW since there was only 2 of us studying there, I lived an a dorm and was GREAT! I lived with 4 Australian students and it really helped me get into the culture.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Know how much you have going into and what you are willing to spend on certian things while you are there. For me traveling was really important and since flights are expensive I had quite a few peanut butter sandwiches while traveling to safe my money for other things like scuba diving!
