What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained a great perspective on life. Going abroad and stepping out of your comfort zone is an amazing experience for a college student to really try and find yourself at an age of growing and maturity.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? make sure you check the exchange rates before, and be prepared because New Zealand is a bit expensive. I would suggest getting a travel rewards credit card.

  • Orientation
  • How Helpful the TEAN staff were
* What could be improved?
  • Do Auckland then Fiji all the time
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Even though it didn't effect me because the TEAN staff did a good job telling us this when we got there, but take advantage of the ability to travel as much as you want. See as much of the country as you can (worry about the money later it's worth it).

The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
