What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
The experience of spending a semester abroad was unbelievably worthwhile and I would do anything to do it over again. I learned so much about independence and, ultimately, myself.

Went to the doctor a few times and it was super easy!

There was never a time that I felt unsafe, even walking around at night by myself.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

TEAN was amazing. Organized, helpful, and so supportive right from the start and all the way till the end, and I am so honored to represent them as a global ambassador!

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I spent a lot of money while I was abroad, but there was never a time that I wasn't expecting that. The money that I spent weekly, on various things like food and travel, was 100% worth it and a part of the experience.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? About $200 a week, maybe more
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Save up A LOT before you go. That was one thing that I really didn't do, so all of my savings are gone. Set aside money for as long as you can prior to leaving SPECIFICALLY to spend while abroad.
