What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I believe studying abroad is an experience every college student should partake in. The thought of leaving my friends to travel halfway around the world for four months was something I was a little apprehensive about. I was scared to go because I'm a very shy person but now that I've been am so glad that didn't stop me. Studying abroad was one of the only chances I will ever have to meet people from around the world and now wherever I go in the US I have friends. I gained a better understanding of Australia culture and it really helped me open my eyes to the possibilities the world offers.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The scheduling and grading system are different in Australia than they are in the US. I personally really liked my class schedule because I only met once a week for some classes and twice a week for others.

On-site administration of your program

We were met at the airport by an Education Abroad Advisor and he stayed with our group for the first few days showing us around Sydney and letting us get acclamated.

Premier housing between downtown Sydney and Bondi Beach.

* Food:

A lot of the food is similar to the US with a few perks like tim-tams! :)

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

So much fun and a huge influence on my time abroad. I loved exploring Sydney and neighboring towns/beaches.

* Safety:

You are completely taken care of if anything should happen to you.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)
