Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? None

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I chose difficult classes, I wish I had researched a little bit to find less rigorous classes. Not too bad though! UNSW is very international. I loved it's location but part of me wishes I had chosen University of Sydney to meet more local Australian's in my classes.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived in Bondi Junction at the Meriton. Amazing, beautiful housing- more than I could have ever hoped for. The location was PERFECT! Really close to Bondi Beach which was important to me, and not too far from school or the city.

* Food:

The restaurants in Sydney are great.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I went to the healthcare center on campus, and it was incredibly easy and helpful.

* Safety:

I always felt safe.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Australia is very expensive. Try to save up and create a budget as much as you can!

I also wish I had known UNSW was so international and that my classes were not going to have many Australians in them.
