What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
This trip was so worthwhile, the experience will last forever in my mind. The people I met, the places I went, and all the little moments on the trip will stay with me for my entire lifetime. I got course work done that I needed for my degree, but I was able to accompany this by traveling around Australia and seeing a completely different part of the world.

I met the most ideal group of people to travel with and would not have traded the experience for anything else. I made really good friends while abroad, had a perfect situation with the class I took and got to see some incredible things while in Australia.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Plan for the essentials first, save buying souvenirs for the very end of the trip. Spend money on food and experiences rather than material things.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • Staying in 3 different cities in Australia.
  • Meeting people from all over the United States.
  • Being able to relate the course to what we did activity wise on the trip.
* What could be improved?
  • The amount of time in each place could be slightly tweaked.
  • Having an off day somewhere between each week.
  • Meeting the group before.
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I knew the full cost of expenses before the trip. It is hard to predict the full expenses so it is always good to be over-prepared with money but to pack light. TEAN did a good job with giving us money advice but you really do not know how much you will spend until actually on the trip. Come overprepared!
