About

The University of Newcastle is a great fit for students seeking the perks of a mid-sized city, amazing opportunities for outdoor exploration, and an engaging learning environment.  Newcastle is located just two hours from Sydney and a short distance from the Lower Hunter Valley, a region famous for its wineries and sprawling national parks.  Participants will challenge themselves in the classroom while benefiting from a wide variety of course offerings and exploring a city that features five kilometers of waterfront attractions. Prior to settling in, see the Great Barrier Reef with TEAN's 5-day Orientation Excursion based in Cairns. Even though it may be hard to tear yourself away from the laidback lifestyle of Newcastle, you may also want to consider seeking adventure elsewhere with one of our semester break trips to exotic Thailand or the South Island of New Zealand.
