The best four months I could have asked for! Past Review

By (University of Michigan - Ann Arbor) - abroad from 02/17/2016 to 06/17/2016 with

The Education Abroad Network (TEAN): Melbourne - RMIT University

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
My study abroad experience was very worthwhile. I learned how to step out of my comfort zone. I travelled to a country across the world where I knew absolutely no one. I went skydiving in New Zealand and made friends from all over the world. I also learned how to be more independent and organized.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

This was one of my favorite parts about studying abroad with TEAN! Each city has an awesome resident director that is there to answer any of your questions and show you around the city.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

We were housed in the perfect location in the most livable city in the world! The apartments were very nice.

* Food:

Melbourne has amazing food from all over the world.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I loved studying abroad with TEAN! They were prompt to answer questions and were always there to help, whether I just had nerves before departing or needed advice on where to go to dinner. The orientation program in Sydney acclimates you to Australian culture and allows you to make friends studying abroad all over the country.
