The best four months of my life, all thanks to TEAN Past Review

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Being in Australia for 4 months, I was able to see amazing places that I had only ever dreamed of seeing. The Australian culture and lifestyle is so laid back, and the people there are all so friendly. If I could do it all over, I would in a heartbeat.

TEAN made the application process very easy by always being available through phone calls and emails. I never felt stressed when applying because the deadlines are all laid out and easy to meet. TEAN orientation is where I made many of my best friends during my abroad experience. TEAN does a great job at easing students into the culture of the area in which the abroad program is taking place.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I lived in the beach housing, which is one of the more expensive options. In addition, we had a kitchen in my apartment so I had to buy groceries weekly. However, there are other options for housing that are much more affordable and meal plans that are much cheaper than purchasing groceries. TEAN does a great job at offering affordable living situations for everyone.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $400
