What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Traveling abroad taught me to step out of my comfort zone. While in New Zealand, I did things I never thought I would do- from bungee jumping to solo road trips. This wasn't always easy, but completely worth it!

TEAN made me feel welcomed in New Zealand from the moment I arrived in the Queenstown airport! I had never flew by myself before, and I was worried about navigating in a foreign airport. I was relieved to find a TEAN representative was waiting for me, along with others in my program, and made traveling from the airport to my orientation accommodation a breeze! This outstanding service continued throughout my time in New Zealand; a TEAN representative was always available to answer questions, catch up, and ensure my safety abroad!

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • I appreciated consistent programming ad "coffee catch ups" that gave me opportunities to reconnect with people in my program.
  • I am a very organized person, and TEAN was extremely organized!
* What could be improved?
  • I can not think of a part of the program that should be improved
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I knew TEAN was an excellent program that was known for it's orientation program, however I was still worried about the social aspects of first few weeks abroad. I should not have spent all of this time worrying, because TEAN integrated me into the program family immediately, and I never felt alone while in New Zealand!

The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
