This Ireland experience culminates in participation at Ireland’s largest traditional music and dance festival in Feakle, where students can learn Irish singing, dance, and instruments in workshops and private lessons designed just for the group.
Upon arrival in Shannon, students will taste a full Irish breakfast, feast at a Medieval Banquet at Bunratty Castle evening. At their hotel, they will be able to experience an evening of dinner, music and dance in Kate Kearney’s Cottage in an authentic Irish traditional venue!
Shortly after, students depart for Sherkin Island for the Vocal Master Class with Professor Clickner. Professor Clickner will introduce basic vocal training techniques, breathing, production and articulation, and cognitive work such as focused concentration, musical imagery and brain work. Irish vocal repertoire will also be featured in the class.
During their time on Sherkin Island, students will experience music at the local Irish pub, and tours nearby heritage sites, village, panoramic landscapes, farms, and much more with experienced tour guides.
