This was an experience of a lifetime. I absolutely loved studying abroad in Dublin and I would do it again if I could.

This is an experience of a lifetime! I would recommend anyone considering studying abroad to look into Athena Abroad and of course Dublin!

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Living arrangements were two bedroom apartments shared with four students. The apartment also had two bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. The only downside was that the kitchen didn't have an oven.

* Food:

The food was pretty great! Lots of potatoes and huge portions.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Dublin is a very safe city. I never once felt unsafe during my semester there.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

It was easy to live on a student's budget as long as you budget for food accordingly. Food is more expensive in Ireland, but it's still doable. They have Lidl and Aldi, which are inexpensive grocery stores within a fifteen minute walk of campus.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? I would recommend cooking most of your meals to save money.

The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
