High school students, we have an adventure waiting for you. Seville is an ideal location to experience Spanish culture and improve your fluency – and have fun! This program is both a rewarding experience and a great addition to your college applications. Plus, it is a great way to make new friends. This unique program is based at our Center for Cross-Cultural Study in the historic center of Seville. Students are housed with local families and are immersed in the language and culture. The program runs from July 9 (arrival) to July 29, 2020.
Included in the program:
Daily Spanish instruction geared to conversational fluency, and on Spanish society and culture (in English)
Accompanied chaperone on flight to Spain from New York area (optional).
Airport transfers in Seville are provided
Homestay with a Spanish family including all meals
Local speaking partners (intercambios)
Day trips to Córdoba, Aracena caves and Cádiz and beaches
Fun daily activities, including visits to Seville’s many cultural sites and Mazagón beach, river kayaking, shopping, sports, cooking, and local music and flamenco dance
We offer two scholarship options for students attending our regular academic programs in Spain, Puerto Rico, Cuba and Argentina (this does not include faculty-led programs). You may submit an application to only one scholarship: Merit-Based or Diversity. Students may apply for the Merit-Based or Diversity Scholarship prior to their acceptance in an SSA program, but only accepted students may receive a scholarship. *Please note: Spanish Studies Abroad Scholarships cannot be applied to program costs, including tuition.
