What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot of Spanish! I also got a glimpse of how other cultural a are and it really was worthwhile. I keep trying to incorporate Spanish culture into my life!

My host mom was so great! I liked her so much!!

If you aren't a fan of sea food you may not like it as much as me!

I did not have any health issues but one of the girls on the trip did & I think it was taken care of!

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Sol was awesome! I never felt unprepared or worried, the activities they had for us were great, & the host families they set us up with her amazing! They are an awesome program!

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $100 but I bought a lot of souvenirs for people, it wasn't spent on food
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Eat your host families meals! They are usually traditional and are always good!

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I had brushed up on my Spanish some. They really don't speak any English there & so I kept having to look up words & decipher what locals were saying.
