I learned a lot about the healthcare system in Argentina, healthcare in general, and I gained a lot of confidence in my Spanish speaking. I also enjoyed learning about the South American culture because while I have been to many other countries, Argentina was very different and I loved experiencing it,

I learned that it's hard to learn Spanish, but being immersed in it, it really helps to learn it. Although you might feel alone, there are millions of people who are in the same boat.

For the Sol Education Abroad Spanish and Healthcare Program (Winter Break and Summer) classes are taught at Elebaires language school and transcripted by the Universidad Abierta Interamericana or iSalud University. The neighborhood surrounding Elebaires is one of the most historic in Buenos Aires and boasts some of the city's most visited monuments, including various museums, plazas, pedestrian shopping streets, and parks. All professors have experience teaching in public and private institutions and possess a solid background in language training and applied linguistics. Courses are designed with a steady focus on communication, while also addressing the grammatical aspects of the language. This program allows pre-med, nursing or other related fields interested
in healthcare to learn about the differences in healthcare management
between their home country and Argentina. Students develop their
comprehension and communication skills in order to prepare themselves
for real-life situations. They will learn medical Spanish
vocabulary, grammatical structures and general functions in order to
familiarize themselves with specific social and health systems in
Spanish. The program includes visits to public and private hospitals and
clinics and medical shadowing.
Scholarships are available throughout the year. The goal of our annual scholarships is to allow students who would not be able to participate in a Study Abroad and Spanish Immersion program do so. Students must meet the Sol Education Abroad eligibility requirements.
